Nicolás Catena announces joint venture with Lafite Rothschild

Nicolás Catena and Baron Eric de Rothschild are happy to announce their new partnership in Mendoza. This is an alliance between the Argentinian Catena family and the French Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) as well as between two world recognized varietals, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Catena and Rothschild have been involved in this project for two years. They have joined forces to share their knowledge in viticulture to find ideal terroirs within Mendoza to create the best assemblage of these two varietals.

The partnership is intended to release 30.000 cases within five years and the winery will be based in the historic Godoy Cruz area of Mendoza.
