Tasting Notes

Fact Sheet

Catena Zapata Estiba Reservada 2002 offers a deep purple color with light red ruby hues. The nose is rich and complex, with ripe cassis and black cherry flavors laced with cedar, tobacco and sweet spice. On the palate, a sweet entry leads to an opulent wine, packed with red berries, subtle eucalyptus and black pepper. The texture is soft and velvety, with ripe, silky tannins. This is a full-bodied wine, with a long, persistent finish, that blends well with beef, game, strong cheeses and full flavored pasta dishes.
