Saint Felicien
Tribute to our 200th Anniversary (1810-2010) is an elegant, complex wine of
a deep violet colour with subtle ruby red hues.
Our homage to the May Revolution is shown in this wine, as a symbol of the
Catena family's commitment to produce world class wines, respecting
tradition and striving constantly to produce high quality.
The image on the label is a reproduction of a famous painting specially
designed by Carlos Alonso for the release of Saint Felicien's first vintage.
The painting portrays a typical farm worker during Mendoza's harvest season.
The nose of this Malbec displays ripe red cherry and plum flavours that are
typical of the "Angelica" Vineyard. "La Pirámide" Vineyard confers spicy
notes of black pepper. The "Nicasia" Vineyard adds intense strawberry and
cassis flavours. Finally, "Adrianna" provides floral hints of violets and a
deep violet colour. On the palate, this is a complex, full-bodied wine, of
soft, round tannins and excellent length and richness. The aftertaste
displays delicate toast and vanilla oak flavours.
